The successful candidate will:
· report to Chief Technical Officer
· be fluent in the design and debugging methods of biomechanical systems, and capable of producing mechanical parts and subsystems in house and using 3rd party suppliers.
research and execute experiments to drive innovations in novel assay, microfluidics, and optics devices.
design and prototype parts and assemblies
evaluate the use of new materials and reagents.
conduct various biological studies to determine feasibility of novel engineering solutions
provide technical support transferring improvements between engineering and biology (both ways).
recommend design to further chemistry / engineering development
present quantitative results / measurements that verify the impact of changes
· work closely with the internal cross-functional development team of Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Optical Engineers, Software Engineers, Biologists and Chemists to ensure systems are successfully implemented.
