Ruane, Cunniff & Goldfarb is a $20 billion equity investment firm with offices in New York and Chicago. Founded in 1969, Ruane, Cunniff is best known for our mutual fund, Sequoia Fund. In addition to the mutual fund, we also maintain private accounts and hedge fund partnerships. While we own lots of things, our investments are concentrated in a relatively small number of positions. We like to own a few things that we know very well, and we like to own them for long periods. Our preference is for businesses with dominant competitive positions and attractive growth prospects, and as value investors, we watch what we pay.
We are presently seeking investment analyst summer interns who are passionate about investing, creative, intellectually curious and uninterested in spending 100 hours per week formatting Powerpoint presentations and IPO prospectuses. Our analyst interns conduct meaningful in-depth primary research on potential investee companies alongside our analyst team.
The ideal candidate is intelligent, creative, self-directed, productive, and exhibits a genuine interest for understanding companies and their operators.
Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter.
We understand that undergraduate summer internship recruiting has been pushed far in advance of what is ideal both for applicants and many hiring organizations. If you believe you are the ideal candidate for this role, and need an accelerated response from us because of exploding offers elsewhere, please email Salina Claps at firstname.lastname@example.org.
