New England Senior Campaign Representative
Come be a part of the Sierra Club’s team working to place New England on an irreversible path to decarbonizing the energy economy, electrifying buildings, and equitably transitioning from fossil fuels to 100 percent clean, renewable energy!
Sierra Club is looking to hire a seasoned, strategic and innovative campaigner to lead and coordinate our electric sector campaigns, develop priorities and policy solutions and implement strategies as part of a just and equitable transition towards scaling renewable energy and rapidly decarbonizing and electrifying New England’s energy economy. This position represents the Sierra Club to government officials, decision leaders, media, and organizational partners.
Candidates should have between 3-5 years of demonstrated experience planning and implementing successful campaigns, building and working in coalitions, working with volunteers, working with attorneys and utilizing legal advocacy, media relations, and advancing regulatory action and policy with state administrative entities, and have a strong understanding of, or expertise in, electric and policies and programs.
Candidates must have a demonstrated record of embedding equity and justice in their advocacy and hold a robust understanding of how race, class, gender and forms of privilege inform advocacy around energy, climate, and clean air issues.
