The British School, New Delhi will host the The International Internship Program for 2026, as part of our mission to promote cultural exchange, global citizenship and innovation. For a school that fosters respect for diversity and inclusion, global trends have further reinforced the need for immersive cross- cultural experiences.
This is an opportunity during which interns will emerge with a deep understanding of India, experience inquiry and concept-based teaching pedagogy, teach and learn in a culturally diverse community, and get insights into the work of NGOs who are working to bridge the gaps such as access to education and resources.
This global internship program includes:
Mentoring and training by the school faculty: Collaborative classroom practices, first- hand experience of curriculum areas and best teaching practices across the school in IB and IGCSE curriculum areas. Opportunity for interns to develop lesson plans, design dynamic activities and assessments, and deliver master classes in specialist areas. This opportunity is open to students from all subject areas as you will be assigned to teach in classrooms based on your academic expertise.
University Guidance: Advise students applying to competitive universities in the United States and across the world, utilizing interns experience with the admissions process.
Mentoring students: Mentoring school students supporting them in their academic and curricular pursuits.
Cultural immersion: At regular intervals opportunities will be provided to experience the rich culture India has to offer. This may include enjoying the myriad of sights and sounds of Delhi, local family experiences, travel to the world-renowned Taj Mahal in Agra, attendance at rich cultural events and working with our partner NGO’s for voluntary work.
