Modeling Intern – CFD (Summer 2022)
The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) is currently seeking a Computational Fluid Dynamics Modeling Intern to join our Surface Preparation Systems team focused on simulation and prototype design located in Austin, Texas.
•tBuilding nanoscale simulation models using fluid dynamic software with relevant physics.
•tUse simulation to model different conditions and geometries.
•tCommunicate with teams in Austin and Japan to understand project guidelines, scope, and deliverables.
•tGood communications skills are critical to the project assignment.
•tThe candidate should be pursuing a M.S. or PhD degree in engineering, physics, chemistry or equivalent field.
•tMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship.
•tKnowledge of transport phenomena: fluid dynamics, heat transfer, mass transfer is required.
•tKnowledge of computational fluid dynamics in general is required.
•tExperience working in a Linux cluster environment is desirable.
•tExperience writing software code for scientific computing using languages such as MATLAB, python, C/C++, etc. is desirable.
•tKnowledge of the semiconductor industry is desirable.
