DescriptionThe position is designed for a student who is currently enrolled in an accredited genetic counseling training. Under direct supervision of a licensed medical geneticist and/or a licensed genetic counselor, provides medical/clinical genetic services to individuals and families with a known or suspected inherited condition. Provides information and counseling, coordinates genetic testing, evaluates and determines individuals’ and/or families’ needs and makes appropriate referrals based on these evaluations.
