World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Climate & Business Intern to assist with research, data collection & analysis, and report writing for climate change projects. WWF’s Climate & Business team engages companies and supply chains on effective responses to climate change, including setting and implementing greenhouse gas reduction targets and supporting strong climate and renewable energy policies.
This internship will directly support WWF’s Climate & Business team in the development of the Power Forward report. Responsibilities include:
Desktop research on Fortune 1000 companies’ climate and energy related targets, corporate sustainability reporting, and other public data sources
Data analysis on corporate climate commitments, identifying relevant trends and insights
Report writing, editing, and design
Other tasks as assigned, including general support to the Climate & Business team and climate-related corporate partnerships.
This position is best suited for business or policy graduate students pursuing concentrations in corporate sustainability and/or climate change. Highly qualified undergraduates with strong skills in research, analysis, and writing will be considered.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following:
Exceptional writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills;
Demonstrated ability to conduct desktop research and synthesize data;
Quantitative and qualitative data analysis experience
Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently;
Available for 20 hours per week. Possibility of full-time (up to 35 hours) can be discussed.
This position will be remote but to be eligible, the candidate must be based in the United States.
Minimum 3 months, extension possible through June 2021.
