This is a one or two year position to work on translational/clinical research as related to female infertility. My lab is studying the role of bone marrow-derived progenitor cells and immune cells in endometrial pathology focusing on implantation failure and pregnancy loss. Background research experience, especially independent work in molecular biology, is preferred. Training and mentorship will be provided in the conduct of clinical trials, research design, biospecimen collection, lab techniques, patient interactions including consenting, data collection and analysis, and medical record abstraction.
This research involves interacting with patients at the Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI) clinic and working with human tissue, so HIPAA training is provided. Results will be presented at national conferences, including the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and Society for Reproductive Investigation. Manuscripts will be prepared for publication. This is an ideal position for someone who recently graduated from college and is planning to apply for medical or graduate school.
This is a paid, full-time position, starting June/July 2021
