Dr. Vanita Ahuja and Dr. Eric Schneider are looking for an outstanding upperclassman undergraduate and master’s level student from a diverse background for a summer Volunteer Research opportunity. The student’s responsibilities would consist of the following. Assist with clinical outcome surgical research by independently contributing to project planning processes. Conduct and summarize library and internet research. Assist with clinical outcome surgical research by independently contributing to project planning process. Assist in the synthesis of information and development of reports, issue briefs and other written products. Conduct and summarize library and internet research. Be a member of the research team and contribute to the current and future research projects. Assist in preparing research projects and performing scientific evidence- based research. Application of knowledge learned to generated abstracts and peer reviewed publications. Take a course in STATA at Yale Library. Understand clinical outcome research. Teach pros and cons of using administrative database.
Work on research hypothesis and project ideas.
At the end of the summer expect to have 1 abstract completed and submitted to a conference. Completed ongoing research projects.
