Research Assistant position available within Yale School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Section of Infectious Disease, AIDS Program. Position will support a new research program that aims to understand how exposure to intimate partner violence affects women’s ability to manage their HIV on a daily basis. The person will be housed at The Consultation Center (TCC).
Required Education and Experience:
Two years of related work experience in the same job family and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Demonstrated ability providing support to a clinical research study with standardized measures and in adherence to HIPAA and Human Subjects guidelines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail that includes thoroughly proof-reading own work and correcting errors prior to submission.
Demonstrated proficiency with SPSS or SAS, and data analysis. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to administer multiple survey measures without administration errors. Ability to concentrate and persist in various environments. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Ability to report on status of research activities.
Preferred Education and Experience: BA in psychology or related field. Working knowledge of REDCap, Qualtrics, or other relational web-based databases preferred. Demonstrated ability working previously with people with HIV or victims of trauma and intimate partner violence.
