About the team
The Business Operations Rotational Associate Program, also known as BORA, is a post-undergraduate development program where you’ll build cross-functional skills through projects supporting various lines of business within Zillow Group. Each rotation will give you a unique perspective in customer experience, project management, business operations, strategy and analytics.
As part of a small cohort, you will gain a community of peers and mentors to support your development. Recurring cohort events include instructor-led hard skill trainings, roundtables with business leaders, learning & development workshops, and program-specific virtual meetups. Rotational associates are also encouraged to participate in affinity networks, volunteer events, and other events in the larger Zillow community.

We look for growing leaders who are passionate about business. As an Associate, you are passionate about analytics, using data to drive recommendations. You’re able to communicate your findings in a dynamic way tailored to various audiences. Communication is about actively listening, having empathy and including other perspectives. As an associate, you will often react quickly to embrace the constant change in a rapidly growing organization so the need to problem solve and think strategically is essential. You aren’t afraid to get into the details to identify root cause and advocate for a better way. Community is important here at Zillow! Your first rotation will prioritize understanding ‘the voice of the customer’. You’ll focus on solving the hurdles of our advertising partners. You’ll gain a deep understanding of customer pain points, internal processes, and the sales, support, operations ecosystem. You’ll then be challenged improve these processes using a suite of internal tools, a client-first attitude, and a self-starter mindset.

Project Management: Project managers at Zillow design, implement, and measure the success of various projects with the end goal of increasing win rate, providing an excellent customer experience, improving productivity, driving success while managing risk. In this role, you’ll influence strategic decisions within the organization by making process recommendations supported by data.
Sales Operations: Our sales operations teams drive operational improvements using in-depth analysis and feedback from all branches of the business. They bolster the efficiency of the sales team by providing analysis to leaders and by assisting with the design and implementation of new functionality. Responsibilities can include building and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly reports in tools such as Salesforce, Excel, Tableau, and Domo.
Analytics: Analysts at Zillow play a key role in identifying growth opportunities and supporting new initiatives. By compiling and presenting data, our analytics team pinpoints KPIs, drives reporting to support monthly and quarterly process reviews, and makes it possible to enhance operational productivity.
Strategy: The strategy team guides the business by setting strategic direction, figuring out how strategy gets implemented and owning results that flow from strategy. Strategists are heavy-hitters who move fast, think big, and team up to deliver results. Their closest partners can include product, marketing and sales.
Who you are
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
- Strong track record of academic performance, extracurricular involvement, and work experience
- Proven grit and perseverance with an eye for long-term goals
- A love for all things data and putting together crisp visuals
- Are a self-starter, with a drive to move forward and prioritize multiple projects with little supervision.
- Dynamic communicator, sharing your findings in a way tailored to various audiences
- Empathetic, activity listening to other perspectives and including their voices at every step
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
