Ashley is a third year PhD candidate in Genetics at Yale University in Dr. Berna Sozen’s laboratory. Her research is centered on building 3D stem cell-based models of early human embryonic development. Ashley is passionate about female reproductive health and empowering women in STEM fields: she works part-time as a cell science consultant for a female reproductive health start-up in NYC and serves as a board member for Women and Gender Minorities in Science at Yale (WISAY). Additionally, she serves as co-Vice President of Activities for Yale Graduate Student Consulting Club (YGCC) and in mentorship roles for students historically underrepresented in STEM fields both inside and outside of Yale.
