Describe your project:
As a Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS)-McDougal GSL GPE
fellow, I have been working on new student information, events, and media
during the spring. Specifically, I participated in several Q&A sessions to
interact with incoming students, plan virtual events, and provide various videos
and media on informative Yale and New Haven issues.
What are the main skills that you acquired?
By taking part in this fellowship, I was able to improve my communication skills
and gain experience in hosting and organizing events. I have also created my
own videos to provide a virtual tour around New Haven and Yale, which helped
me gain video making and editing skills.
What were the biggest challenges and learning opportunities of the fellowship?
A challenge I faced was to effectively provide useful information through online
media and in a virtual setting. Also, I have acquired skills in making a
comfortable environment for everyone to feel included.
