Kassidi Shuron Jones earned her PhD in African American Studies and English from Yale University in 2025, where her dissertation, Our Share of Summers: Tending the Environment in Nineteenth-Century Black American Poetry, won a departmental prize for Best Dissertation of the Year. Jones has received fellowships from the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, the Ford Foundation, and Callaloo. Her writing can be found in the Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment Journal, The Papers of the Bibliographical Society of America, and scattered throughout a few poetry anthologies.
