Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation: Post-Bachelor Fellowship
The Post-Bachelor Fellowship is an advanced, structured, and focused didactic program where talented scholars can apply their knowledge and passion to help advance the field of health metrics and accelerate global health progress. The fellowship provides a unique opportunity for recent college graduates with strong quantitative skills to train with faculty and senior researchers on a variety of global health projects. At the intersection of academic research, education, and professional work, the Post-Bachelor Fellowship combines on-the-job mentoring from an illustrious group of professors and researchers with course work and field experience in developing countries.

Medical Missionaries Global Health Fellows
The Medical Missionaries Post-Baccalaureate Fellowship in Global Health offers two recent college graduates planning on entering the health professions the opportunity to gain experience in health care delivery in a developing country. Fellows spend one year in Thomassique, Haiti, working at St. Joseph’s Clinic, where they act as liaisons between Medical Missionaries—the US-based organization that built and funds the clinic—and the clinic’s all-Haitian staff. The fellowship begins in the summer and ends in the summer of the following year.
New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Health Research Training Program
Training the next generation of public-health leaders is at the heart of our mission. Through our health and research training programs, undergraduate, graduate, and professional students can work with experienced mentors confronting real-life challenges in the field. The Health Department’s training programs include a 10–12-week, full-time summer course, and a part-time course during the academic year. Participants gain experience in planning, research, administration, and evaluation.
NIH Academy is a postbaccalaureate program that provides opportunities for recent college graduates to spend a year engaged in biomedical investigation at NIH. Recent college graduates with a research interest in domestic health disparities

Patient-Oriented and Translational Research Option
This program offers a “hands-on” application of medical research and is open to undergraduates, recent graduates, medical students, PhD and MD/PhD students, and postdoctoral research associates
Project Horseshoe Farm Health Fellowship
Students preparing for careers in healthcare or education, as well as other students with strong leadership potential, are invited to commit one year (13 months) to the Greensboro community and to the Horseshoe Farm Fellowship. Fellows are challenged to learn about and become engaged in the community as they are immersed in almost all phases and aspects of the development, management, and leadership of, and service in the programs of Project Horseshoe Farm. To further help prepare Fellows for leadership roles amid the complex systems they will likely face, Fellows are introduced through readings and discussions to topics including community involvement and engagement, management and leadership of non-profit organizations, an introduction to systems of care, healthcare law and ethics, healthcare economics, the structure and financing of the healthcare system, the history of American medicine, and health policy. Application Deadline typically mid-February.

Unite For Sight
All volunteers participating in Unite For Sight’s international programs are Global Impact Fellows. They participate daily with local ophthalmologists, local optometrists, and local ophthalmic nurses to eliminate patient barriers to care and to facilitate comprehensive year-round eye care for patients living in extreme poverty.
