How To Find Email Addresses for Networking
CareerShift is a powerful job aggregator that allows you to search for positions posted in job boards and on employer sites. However, there is also a Contact Finder within CareerShift that students can utilize.
How to find email addresses of alumni or recruiters at companies:
- Log into CareerShift: Current Yale College Students, Current Yale Graduate School of Arts & Science Students, and Current Postdocs – Go here and select the Green button to log in with your NetID and Password.
- Once logged in, select Contacts and then Search below Contacts.
To Find Alums: From the Contacts Page, you can enter a Company Name and then select Yale University from the School Attended field. If you already have a specific person, you can also search by their first and last name. Once you get the results, click on their name below and their email address will be listed!
Finding recruiters or other specific positions within a company: From the Contacts Page, enter the Company Name and then select the toggle below for Advanced Filters. In the Advanced Search section, you can include a position title to search for.
Search Tip: Typically, you will be able to find more individuals in LinkedIn. Start with that search tool and then come over to CareerShift to get their email addresses!
