From Yale To Pharma – And Everywhere In Between with Arjel Bautista PhD ’10

Keynote Bio: 
Arjel Bautista, PhD is a Senior Director of ESG Performance and Reporting at Bristol Myers Squibb, where he helps tell the company’s story of Sustainability and Purpose through core metrics and key performance indicators. Arjel has been with BMS since 2016, having previously served in teams leading R&D Portfolio Benchmarking and Medical Analytics. Prior to BMS, Arjel spent time as Vice President of Global Business Transformation and Private Bank Analytics at J.P. Morgan, Data Scientist at OC&C Strategy Consultants, and Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Prof. Kent Kirshenbaum at New York University.

Arjel earned his PhD in Chemistry from Yale in 2010, after a rewarding graduate career in the laboratory of Prof. Alanna Schepartz (now at UC Berkeley). His doctoral studies focused on the inhibition of protein- protein interactions with non-natural peptidomimetics, specifically beta(3)-peptides.

Arjel resides in West Windsor, New Jersey, with his wife Danielle (a fellow Yale graduate), their daughter Julia, and beagle Tobie.
