Affinity/Identity

With advice and guidance from our experts within the Yale community, OCS has created seven Affinity/Identity Communities enabling students to pursue their career search within a community of peers. As you choose communities of interest, explore the relevant news, blogs and career spotlights to help you explore various career paths.

To receive regular updates from the Identity/Affinity Communities:

  • Current Yale Students and Yale Faculty/Staff: Log into the website using CAS Login (enter your Net ID and password), go to Preferences (top right corner under your name). This will allow you to customize the content of your weekly newsletter by choosing among the career communities, affinity/identity communities, and applying to graduate school communities.
  • Yale Alumni, Prospective Students and other Guests: Sign Up Here

Some employers may offer diversity recruitment programs aimed to address historical gaps in the workforce, and students are encouraged to research those programs to learn more.

Search continually updated U.S. market trends to learn about job types (job functions), growth trends, and desired skills. The results will include general information about each job (functional area), employment trends from the past two years and projections for the next 10 years, employers that have that role, desired education level, skills for the position, and more!

TWO WAYS TO SEARCH:

  1. Find Career Data by Selecting Keywords: Enter keywords of various job titles and choose a state or search nationwide to learn more about that job.
  2. Filter by Industry and Occupation: Search by industry and choose among popular occupations/job titles within that industry.

First, choose an industry of interest, then filter for occupation. (If you'd like to see data for a specific location only, filter by state.)

Type in a keyword to select a relevant occupation. (If you'd like to see data for a specific location only, filter by state.)
