A full-time clinical research project coordinator opportunity is available at Yale University School of Medicine for projects related to stress, trauma, health behaviors such as alcohol intake, marijuana use, neuropsychiatric disorders and neuroimaging research. Research involves investigating prevention and treatment approaches to maladaptive stress coping, building resilience, identifying neural and biobehavioral dysfunction related to chronic stress, trauma and substance use, utilizing a combination of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and other techniques such as cognitive, cardiac and hormonal monitoring in healthy individuals as well as those who use cannabis, alcohol, other substance use and those with a history of neuropsychiatric disorders.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (related fields such as pre-medical, psychology, neuroscience, biology, computer science, or other fields with relevant experience)
– Academic excellence
– Strong computer and data organization skills
– Comfortable with various software packages (MS Office, SAS/R, REDCAp etc)
– Motivated to learn more about medical and biological research
– Good interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
– Subject recruitment and data management
– Opportunities to work with healthy individuals and clinical patients.- Assist in a study using mindfulness intervention
– Neuroimaging data collection and analysis
– Experimental cognitive, physiological, real world smartphone based data collection and analysis
We seek to fill a 1-2 year position to start this Spring or Summer 2024. Salary range is $38,000-39,500 per year.
