Viraj Jorapur

McDougal Career Fellow

Viraj is a fourth year PhD student in the Economics Department. Before coming to Yale for his graduate studies, Viraj earned an MA in Business and Economics in Barcelona and his BA in India. His research focuses on policies to tackle gender inequality in developing countries, with a special focus on studying cash transfers to families for having female children and investing in their postnatal care. For fun, Viraj likes playing tennis, hiking, and exploring different bars with friends at bars around the city. Viraj is very excited to be working with graduate students to develop programming for finding non academic jobs.
