Paid, full-time position, starting June 2024
This is a one or two-year position to work on clinical and translational research studies examining the effect of obesity on endometrial cancer development. Background research experience is preferred. Mentoring is provided for working with study participants, lab techniques, and in principles of experimental design, problem solving, and analysis of results.
This research involves interactions with patients, participant recruitment, and consent as well as the use of human tissue, so Human Subjects and HIPAA training is provided. Animal studies are also ongoing and involve metabolic studies, surgeries, and tissue assessment. Projects use tools in molecular biology, including immunoassays, Western blot analysis, and PCR. Results will be presented at national conferences, and manuscripts will be prepared for publication. This is an ideal position for someone who recently graduated from college and is applying for medical or graduate school.
