How did your time at Yale shape your career trajectory? For example, what skills and/or experiences did you acquire that have contributed to your career success?
The liberal arts environment in Yale allowed me to take courses even outside of physics. During my years in Yale, I took or audited classes in applied math, computer science, economics/finance in addition to my physics curriculum.
What were the biggest challenges that you faced when transitioning to different workplaces and cultures? What advice and suggestions can you offer to current students to help them prepare for those challenges?
One challenge I faced was to explain complicated quantitative research to broad audience. One advice to the current students is to find opportunities to practice presentation skills, for example, to your friends in different majors.
