OCS offers hundreds of prevetted employer contacts and internships, but also works closely with students to help them craft an experience to fit their unique interests. Check out the many options for professional experiences and internships. There are also a number of funded internship programs offered by OCS which are listed below. Yale’s Common Good & Creative Careers Team manages the following select internships. With the exception of Yale in Hollywood, all of these opportunities have funding.

Paul Block Journalism Internships
Supported by the Block Family Foundation and allows students to work extensive 10-week summer internships. Previously participating newspapers include the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Toledo Blade, the Sacramento Bee and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Buckley Media & Public Policy Internships
Supported by the William F. Buckley Program at Yale, this summer program allows up to five Yale undergraduates media and public policy positions at employers that have included the National Review, The New Criterion, the Manhattan Institute, Forbes Magazine, FIRE, and Gingrich 360. Yale Alumni Community Service Funded Internships

Yawkey Community Service Funded Internships

Yale in Hollywood
OCS, the Yale in Hollywood Club (an alum group involved in the entertainment industry), and part of the Yale Club of Southern California, have collaborated to offer internship opportunities and streamline the internship search process for students interested in an introduction to the various components of the entertainment industry.
